Job Description

Role Overview
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality across incoming materials, in-process production, and final inspection stages. The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving capability, and hands-on experience in quality systems within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Develop and implement quality control processes, SOPs, and inspection plans.
  • Handle customer complaints and drive root cause analysis (RCA) with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO and internal QMS requirements.
  • Conduct vendor quality audits and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor rejection levels and implement measures to reduce defects and rework.
  • Coordinate with production, design, and purchase teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and audit records.
  • Use quality tools such as 7 QC tools, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, 5 Why, Fishbone analysis.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.

Required Qualifications Skills
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quality assurance/control in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques, measuring instruments, and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Attributes
  • Experience in LV switchgear, electrical panels, or similar manufacturing industry.
  • Exposure to supplier quality and vendor audits.
  • Certification in quality tools or Six Sigma (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with sheet metal, assemblies, and electrical components.
