Key Responsibilities
Location-Yamunanagar, Haryana
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and geometrical inspections of finished products in fabrication shops, machine shops, and at vendor/subcontractor locations.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, QAPs, ITPs, Control Plans, and TDCs and ensure products comply with specified requirements.
- Perform stage inspections in fabrication, including fit-up, tack welding, welding, NDT, leak testing, and final inspection.
- Carry out inspection of fabricated components for weld quality, dimensions, alignment, fit-up, and workmanship.
- Perform stage and final inspection in machine shops, including linear, angular, dimensional, and geometrical inspections.
- Witness inspections and testing with customers and third-party inspection agencies as required.
- Conduct and/or coordinate NDT activities such as DPT, MPT, UT, RT and visual testing, as applicable to the product and project requirements.
- Review NDT reports and ensure compliance with applicable specifications, codes, and QAP/ITP requirements.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation with reference to drawings, QAPs, ITPs, TDCs, and customer requirements.
- Review supplier/vendor inspection reports and coordinate with the Subcontracting / Purchase / Production departments for quality-related issues.
- Coordinate with respective departments for day-to-day inspection calls and ensure timely completion of inspections.
- Communicate inspection status, observations, and clearances to concerned departments through email, ERP/application, and verbal communication.
- Coordinate with customers for stage-wise, final, and dispatch inspections and obtain necessary inspection clearances.
- Prepare and compile Quality Dossiers as per approved QAPs/ITPs and customer requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, traceability, inspection records, and documentation of components and assemblies.
- Ensure compliance with company quality systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Identify quality issues/non-conformities and coordinate with concerned departments for corrective and preventive actions.
- Support audits, customer inspections, vendor inspections, and other quality-related activities.
- Report quality status, inspection issues, and major deviations to the Section In-Charge / Quality Head.
