Quality Engineer

Job Description Engineer/Sr. Engineer
Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control
Reporting To: Quality Manager/ Operations Head
Key Responsibilities

• Lead implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality documentations and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, statutory, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
• Develop, review, control, and maintain quality documents, SOPs, work instructions, procedures, formats, and records.
• Monitor adherence to approved processes across departments.
• Participate and ensure compliance of customer and external audits.
• Track and close audit observations, non-conformities (NCs), CAPA, and closure effectiveness.
• Lead quality department activities including incoming, in-process, and final inspection compliance.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives, process standardization, and compliance culture across the organization.
• Ensure calibration, document control, record retention, and traceability requirements are effectively implemented.
• Coordinate customer complaints, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Conduct quality awareness and QMS training programs for employees.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure quality objectives are achieved.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-8 years of experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or QMS Compliance functions.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, Internal Audits, External Audits, CAPA, and Document Control.
• Experience handling customer and regulatory audits.
• Proficient in quality documentation, compliance management, and process improvement.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Candidate from Automobile, Tier 1-2 OEM industry, Automotive industry will be preferred.
