5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles.
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala.
Experience in designing and developing automation frameworks using:Selenium/TestNG/JUnit/PyTest/REST Assured (preferred)
Hands-on experience testing Big Data ecosystems such as:Apache Hadoop/Apache Spark/Hive/Kafka/HDFS/Airflow
Strong SQL skills and experience validating large datasets.
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Essential functions

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated test solutions for Big Data platforms and data pipelines.
Validate data ingestion, transformation, processing, and storage across distributed systems.
Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
Develop automated data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
Perform API testing and backend validation for data services and microservices.
Execute performance, scalability, and reliability testing for large-scale data processing applications.
Analyze defects, identify root causes, and work with development teams to drive resolutions.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering quality practices.
Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and quality metrics dashboards.
