Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician / Quality Analyst

Role & responsibilities

About Role: We are looking for a Quality Control  (QC) Lab Technician / Quality Analyst with experience in the Roller Flour Milling industry to ensure the quality of Wheat, Flours, and finished products through routine laboratory testing and process monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform physical and chemical analysis of wheat, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Conduct routine quality tests including moisture, ash, protein, gluten, water absorption, sedimentation value and other required quality parameters.
• Inspect and test incoming raw materials and monitor product quality throughout the milling process to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Coordinate with the Production and Milling teams to maintain product consistency and recommend process adjustments when required.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Maintain laboratory records, test reports, quality documentation, and sample retention as per established procedures.
• Investigate quality deviations, non-conformities, and customer complaints, and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, food safety standards, and internal quality management systems.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety, equipment, and inventory of chemicals and consumables.
• Assist in product development, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and internal/external quality audits.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Sc. (Chemistry/Food Science/Microbiology) or Diploma/Degree in Food Technology.
• CFTRI Flour Milling qualification or equivalent will be preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of QC/QA laboratory experience in a Roller Flour Mill.
