Job Description

The Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This includes testing raw materials, bulk batches, in-process samples, and final products to meet regulatory standards and customer specifications. The role requires strong technical knowledge, documentation skills, and a commitment to maintaining excellence in product safety, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Documentation Record Maintenance
Maintain and organize records of in-process, finished goods (FG) analysis sheets in a systematic manner for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Ensure timely updating of quality records in compliance with company SOPs and GMP guidelines.
2. Certificate Preparation
Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) for both Microbiological and Finished Goods products, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to testing specifications.
3. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
Develop and maintain MSDS for all raw materials and finished products in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Update MSDS as per any changes in formulation or regulatory requirements.
4. Regulatory Documentation
Prepare and compile documents related to product permissions and regulatory submissions in coordination with internal and external regulatory authorities.
Maintain records for audit and compliance purposes.
5. Artwork Review Approval
Participate in the review and approval of product artworks, ensuring that all labels, packaging designs, and content meet legal and quality requirements.
6. CAS Number Assignment
Provide and verify Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) numbers for ingredients used in products, ensuring consistency and accuracy in chemical identification.
7. FDA-Related Compliance Work
Assist in tasks related to FDA compliance, including documentation, inspections, and audit preparation.
Ensure all required data and certifications are available and up-to-date for FDA-related queries and submissions.
 
Required Qualifications
B.Sc / M.Sc / M.Pharm and B.Pharm in Chemistry, Cosmetics Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology or related field.
 
Preferred Experience
1+ years of experience in cosmetics / personal care / pharmaceutical / oral-care QC.
