Role Overview

As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of our B2B applications. You will be responsible for executing manual test cases, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with our development and product teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in software testing principles and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Testing: Design, create, and execute detailed manual test cases and test scripts for our web and mobile applications.
• Defect Management: Identify, log, and track software defects and inconsistencies using our bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
• Quality Assurance: Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive QA documentation, including test plans, test reports, and release notes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders, to understand project requirements and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Requirements Analysis: Review product specifications and user stories to provide feedback and ensure testability.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements within the QA function and contribute to building a culture of quality.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:
• 2-3 years of demonstrable, hands-on work experience as a QA Engineer.
• Proven experience testing at least 2-3 different B2B or enterprise-level applications.
• Experience with manual testing methodologies and practices is essential.

• Technical Skills:
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database validation is an advantage.

• Education:
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory.

• Communication:
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with a minimum rating of 7.5 on a 10-point scale. The ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely is critical.

• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a quick learner.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: 3.5 - 5 Lakhs per annum
• Probation Period: 3 months
• Work-from-Home: 1 day per week WFH option available post-successful completion of the probation period.
