Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing initially to understand the application, business processes, and functional requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Analyze business and functional requirements and convert them into test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, regression tests, integration tests, and functional tests.
  • Identify, document, track, and manage software defects through to resolution.
  • Maintain clear and concise test evidence, execution results, and testing documentation.
  • Gradually transition from manual testing to automation testing as product and business knowledge develops.
  • Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright.
  • Coordinate verification and validation activities independently across projects.
  • Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure product quality.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Promote and advocate the use of test automation wherever appropriate.
  • Support multiple projects and testing assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues and independently explore applications to understand functionality.
  • Maintain proper documentation and communicate testing status, risks, and defects to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to performance testing activities where required.
  • Use collaboration and documentation tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in QA / Software Testing
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright
  • Strong programming experience in TypeScript and/or JavaScript
  • Experience in test automation
  • Strong experience in manual testing and test execution
  • Strong defect management experience
  • Ability to convert requirements into test cases and test scenarios
  • Experience with test planning, test data creation, execution, and documentation
  • Good understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Selenium with C# is an added advantage

Preferred candidate profile

3+ years experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, Manual & Automation Testing. Must be skilled in test case design, test execution, defect management, and requirements analysis. Selenium with C# is a plus. Strong analytical and communication skills with willingness to work U.S. business hours (7 AM3 PM ET).
