QA Tester

Role Overview

We are looking for a Detail-Oriented Quality Assurance Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing across mobile, web, and real-time payment channels. You will design and execute rigorous test cases, validate UI workflows, manage bug life cycles, and optimise live anti-fraud monitoring systems. The ideal candidate blends solid QA fundamentals (STLC, manual/API testing) with deep technical systems, fraud detection rules, and relational databases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end manual testing across mobile and web applications to validate user interfaces, workflows, and edge-case scenarios.
• Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test scenarios, and comprehensive test cases aligned with business requirements.
• Conduct regular smoke, functional, UI, performance, and regression testing across product releases within an Agile/Scrum framework.
• Perform API testing using frameworks such as TestNG and Cucumber to ensure seamless backend and interface communication.
• Adhere strictly to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) standards, maintaining detailed test documentation and metrics.
• Identify, log, triage, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools, collaborating closely with development teams through resolution.
• Configure, test, and maintain live anti-fraud monitoring rules and alert thresholds; analyze system feedback to reduce false positives and improve decision accuracy.
• Perform end-to-end flow diagnostics on complex transaction anomalies, evaluating error handling, velocity thresholds, token management, and cross-border data flows.
• Conduct live user identity verification audits to map authentication friction points against live system data.
• Prepare structured technical investigation reports and network charts mapping complex system behaviors.
• Present testing outcomes, risk findings, and system performance insights to senior management, cross-functional teams, and regulatory bodies.
• Participate directly in client/stakeholder discussions to clarify requirements, manage SLAs, and provide continuous release status updates.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in manual testing across web, mobile, and API interfaces within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Expert knowledge of QA standards, methodologies, UI workflow validation, error-state verification, and edge-case simulations.
• Demonstrated experience executing API tests using TestNG and Cucumber frameworks.
• Strong SQL capability (advanced querying, multi-table joins, aggregations).
• Familiarity with data analysis tools: Python (Pandas, NumPy) and Advanced Excel.
• Hands-on expertise using modern bug tracking and test management systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with clear technical reporting and client-facing communication abilities.
