Senior Automation QA Engineer

Location: Bangalore - Hybrid (Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday Work from Office)
Experience: 5 - 8 Years

JCP is hiring a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting a large-scale retail enterprise platform. If you are passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications in a modern microservices ecosystem, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts using Java and Selenium
• Develop and execute automated test cases for web applications and APIs
• Perform comprehensive API testing (REST services) using tools such as Postman/Rest Assured
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in requirement analysis and test strategy discussions
• Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and DevOps teams
• Identify, log, and track defects through resolution
• Ensure test coverage, stability, and performance of applications
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks

Required Technical Skills

• 5 - 8 years of experience in QA with strong focus on Automation Testing
• Hands-on experience in Java + Selenium WebDriver
• Strong experience in API Testing (REST APIs)
• Experience with automation frameworks (TestNG/JUnit/Cucumber - BDD preferred)
• Experience with build tools such as Maven/Gradle
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Good to Have

• Experience in Retail / eCommerce domain
• Experience testing microservices-based architectures
• Exposure to Playwright automation framework
• Exposure to performance testing tools
• Experience working in high-traffic enterprise platforms
