QA QC Engineer - Civil

1. Quality Documentation & Planning (QA)

• Draft Project Quality Plans (PQP), Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) before construction begins.
• Manage Quality documentation including material submittals, factory test certificates, and calibration logs.
• Review shop drawings and architectural/structural blueprints to ensure compliance and constructability.
• Conduct quality audits on sub-contractors, internal processes, and third-party vendors.

2. Site Inspection & Material Testing (QC)

• Inspect onsite civil works including excavation, reinforcement, formwork/shuttering, concrete pouring, curing, masonry, and finishing.
• Execute material inspections upon delivery (cement, steel, aggregates, bricks, tiles) against approved Material Approval Requests (MAR). [1, 2]
• Witness and conduct field/laboratory testing such as concrete slump tests, cube/cylinder compression tests, soil compaction (Proctor/CBR), and moisture content.
• Verify survey lines, grid lines, levels, and grades before key construction phases. [1, 2]

3. Non-Conformance Management & Coordination

• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) when workmanship or materials deviate from project requirements.
• Track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to ensure speedy, compliant closure of NCRs.
• Coordinate Requests for Inspection (RFI) with independent clients, structural consultants, and municipal inspectors.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Safety (HSE) team, and procurement division to optimize work and limit material wastage.
