Job Description
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks for web applications. Playwright expertise is highly important for this role, and candidates should have substantial real-world experience building and maintaining Playwright automation suites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Build scalable and maintainable UI automation frameworks from scratch.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Create reusable test components, utilities, fixtures, and page objects.
- Execute tests across multiple browsers and environments.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test failures, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Perform API testing where required and validate end-to-end workflows.
- Maintain test reports, test documentation, and automation coverage.
- Identify opportunities to improve test automation efficiency and reliability.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright Mandatory
- Strong experience in Playwright automation framework development
- Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript
- Experience with UI, functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
- Experience with Page Object Model (POM) and reusable automation frameworks
- Good understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, DOM, and browser behavior
- Experience with Git and CI/CD
- Good knowledge of QA processes, test case design, defect lifecycle, and debugging
Good to Have
- Experience with Playwright + TypeScript
- API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience with Selenium is an advantage, but Playwright should be the primary automation expertise
- Exposure to Docker or cloud-based test execution
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Candidate Profile
Candidates should have strong, recent, hands-on Playwright experience rather than only theoretical knowledge or limited exposure. Experience building automation frameworks and executing Playwright tests in a production/project environment is highly preferred.
