Job Description
Responsibilities
Quality Engineering Leadership
• Lead the overall QA strategy, test planning, and quality engineering processes across multiple product lines.
• Own end-to-end QA cycles, ensuring consistent quality standards, process adherence, and on-time delivery.
• Define, maintain, and continuously improve test cases, regression suites, and quality benchmarks.
Automation Strategy & Framework Ownership
• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman, or similar tools.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to streamline releases and improve test coverage.
• Introduce scalable automation practices and ensure automation stability, reliability, and maintainability.
Requirements Analysis & Test Design
• Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to validate testability, identify risks, and ensure coverage across all functional areas. Defect Management & Root-Cause Analysis
• Manage and triage client-reported issues in JIRA, ensuring timely resolution, clear communication, and accurate defect categorization.
• Work closely with engineering teams to conduct deep root-cause analysis and drive long-term quality improvements.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
• Mentor and coach QA analysts and automation engineers, promoting best practices and building technical competency across the team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, quality excellence, and continuous learning within the QA organization.
• Leverage AI-based tools to improve coverage, automate repetitive tasks, and identify defect patterns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing test efficiency, reducing defect leakage, and improving automation stability.
Quality Metrics & Reporting
• Track, analyze, and improve key QA metrics including test coverage, defect leakage, automation health, and release quality.
• Provide regular quality reporting and insights to leadership, ensuring visibility into product health and readiness.
Qualifications
• Experienced QA professional with a strong background in manual and automated testing; preferably with a software company like Blue Yonder or O9 Solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Comfortable working with complex, large volume data.
• Proficiency in Python/JavaScript and Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience leading QA cycles and mentoring teams.
• Experience with generative AI tools is a plus.
• Experience supporting customers in US time zones.
• Can-do attitude with an ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Curiosity to learn new things and challenge oneself.
