Qa Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute on comprehensive test plans with minimal direction
• Develop and maintain automation tests that adhere to test plans
• Apply creative software engineering skills to a mixture of new and existing technologies to increase testing automation
• Train and mentor others in testing methodologies for diverse software systems
• Oversee bug reporting, tracking and communication with development teams
• Ability to analyze failures to find root cause, and follow-up with development team to resolution.
• Optimize test programs to reduce test times by improving the efficiency of the testing methods
• Develop and publish metrics for test process
• Develop and monitor process and metrics to ensure stability, efficiency and effectiveness of test plans

Key Skills

• Minimum of 5 years experience in QA
  
• Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing, with a proven track record of implementing successful testing strategies.
  
• Good to have experience with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and their impact on the QA process.
  
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
