QA Automation Engineer

Location: chennai (Hybrid)
Experience: 5+Years
Employment Type: Full-Time

Requirements for the Position:

1. Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Engineering preferred.
2. 48 years experience in manual and automated software testing.
3. Proficient in API, integration, regression, end-to-end, and database testing.
4. Experience with automation tools such as Robot Framework (Python) is preferred, Selenium WebDriver (Java/Python), REST Assured, is optional.
5. Hands-on experience in executing tests for ETL(Extract, Transform, Load) processes within cloud-based environments (like AWS Glue etc) is a must.
6. Experience in testing serverless architecturesfor example, verifying event-driven integrations using Amazon EventBridgeis preferred.
7. ISTQB certification is a plus.
8. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as adaptability in dynamic environments.
9. Agile team experience, collaborating with developers and Business stakeholders.

Overall Responsibilities of the Position:

• Perform hands-on testing as an individual contributor and team member
• Analyse requirements, Design and execute test scenarios, cases, and automation scripts
• Execute functional, regression, Integration, E2E tests, track, report and re-test defects
• Designed and executed test cases for AWS Glue ETL pipelines to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Validated data transformations and migrations performed by Glue jobs across multiple data sources.
• Developed automated testing scripts for Glue workflows using Python
• Monitored Glue job executions and analysed logs to troubleshoot test failures.
• Provided feedback and recommendations to improve Glue pipeline reliability and test coverage.
• Utilize AWS tools, Swagger, Postman, SQL Developer, Postgres, IntelliJ Ide, PyCharm, Jenkins, GIT for testing, analysis and creation of automation test scripts.
• Collaborate in onsite/offshore models and follow Good Documentation Practices (GDP) Test Plan, Test Strategy Documents, Traceability Reports etc.
• Leverage tools like One Drive, Jira, test management tools (X-Ray, All-In-One) within JIRA and Confluence for documentation and tracking
