QA Automation Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Perform both manual and automated testing for product features.

Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases and automation scripts.

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing.

Create test plans, test cases, test strategies, and validation reports.

Validate hardware, firmware, software, mobile applications, and integrated systems.

Analyze software logs, system behavior, network traces, and test results to identify defects and perform root-cause analysis.

Develop and maintain automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Participate in CI/CD testing and validation activities.

Work closely with Development, Product Management, Technical Support, and global teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

The role involves hands-on lab activities, including equipment setup, cabling, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Required Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of Software Testing and QA methodologies.

Experience with Python, Java, or similar programming/scripting languages.

Experience or familiarity with automation frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, BDD, or TDD.

Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum.

Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and OSI model.

Experience with Wireshark or similar network troubleshooting/packet analysis tools.

Knowledge of SQL databases and distributed systems.

Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, GitLab, and Jenkins.

Ability to analyze software, firmware, system, and network logs for debugging and issue isolation.

 

Good to Have:

• Mobile application testing – Android/iOS
• REST API testing and API automation
• Firmware validation / embedded systems testing
• Knowledge of telecommunications or networking infrastructure
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or ChatGPT.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other relevant graduation
