Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Desktop Software)

Responsibilities:

Collaborate closely with Product Management, Experience Design, and Engineering to ensure thatproducts, services, and capabilities are designed and created with the highest quality standards.

Develop, execute, improve, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts to providecomprehensive and practical testing of our deliverables.

Perform both manual and automated testing to validate that products meet businessrequirements and consistently exceed customer expectations.

Identify, track and report software defects, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams toensure timely resolution.

Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to maintain high qualitystandards in face of evolving complexity and interdependencies.

Conduct functional and regression testing to uncover defects that may not be detected by existingtest cases.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in QA automation or software development with a focus on

test automation in desktop software development, preferably on Windows and Linux.

Proficiency in writing and maintaining test automation using Python/Java//Perl for large codebases.

Solid foundation in computer science, with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software

design/architecture.

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Passion for quality and an understanding of the latest test automation technologies and frameworks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Exceptional team player with experience working on a scrum team developing desktop products;

understand software and/or services architecture, development, and testing; understand Agile andScaled Agile.

Familiarity with professional-grade GUI test automation using Squish.

Experience working with automation frameworks that scale, using tools like Playwright, RobotFramework, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure or other equivalent public clouds.

Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, algorithms, and related concepts.

Knowledge of Autodesk Alias, Autodesk VRED, or other computer aided industrial design or 3Dvisualization software is a plus.

Familiarity with automotive design and visualization is a plus.
