Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer with 2 5 years of experience in Web and API Testing. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in UI and API Automation using Selenium and Rest Assured, along with good programming knowledge in Java. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications and APIs through effective test automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to design comprehensive test scenarios.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications using Selenium WebDriver.
• Design and automate API test cases using Rest Assured.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate API requests, responses, status codes, headers, and payloads.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in test planning, test execution, and release validation activities.
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements and test process improvements.
• Prepare and share test execution reports and quality metrics.

Required Skills

• 2 4 years of experience in Software Testing with exposure to both Manual and Automation Testing.
• Strong experience in Web Application Testing and API Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI Automation.
• Good to have experience with Rest Assured for API Automation.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Good understanding of TestNG/JUnit and Maven.
• Experience in creating and executing automation test suites.
• Knowledge of API concepts, HTTP methods, REST architecture, and JSON/XML payload validation.
• Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
• Exposure to BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience with Postman for API testing and debugging.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is mandatory.
