Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
  • Create reusable automation libraries, keywords, utilities, and test components.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Perform test execution in Linux-based environments.
  • Validate REST APIs using tools such as Requests, Postman, or equivalent frameworks.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
  • Investigate test failures, analyze logs, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects.
  • Report, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Maintain test documentation, automation reports, traceability matrices, and execution metrics.
  • Support test environment setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and release validation.
  • Improve automation coverage, execution time, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework.
  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Proficiency with Linux commands, shell scripting, process management, permissions, and log analysis.
  • Experience with API testing and automation.
  • Good understanding of software testing life cycle, defect life cycle, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience developing data-driven, keyword-driven, and modular automation frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Git and source-control practices.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools and automated test execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience testing financial, trading, market-data, or enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of CME or exchange-related systems and workflows.
  • Experience with SQL and database validation.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based test environments.
  • Knowledge of performance, security, or reliability testing.
  • Experience with Selenium, Playwright, or other UI automation tools.
  • Familiarity with message queues, event-driven systems, or streaming data.
  • Experience working in distributed and hybrid Agile teams.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant QA automation experience may be considered in place of a degree.
