About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to design and build scalable backend systems and real-time data processing pipelines. This role involves working on high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems that process large volumes of streaming data. You will have end-to-end ownership of services, from system design and architecture to deployment and production monitoring, while collaborating closely with the CTO and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices using Python and

Java

• Build and optimize real-time data pipelines and stream processing systems using Apache Kafka

and Apache Flink

• Architect and implement event-driven systems with high availability and fault tolerance
• Develop and manage multi-tenant Kafka architectures including topic design, partitioning, and

consumer scaling

• Implement efficient caching strategies using Redis to improve system performance and reduce

latency

• Own complete service lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and

monitoring

• Build robust RESTful APIs, configuration management systems, and background job processing

frameworks

• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into

technical solutions

• Drive best practices in coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployments• Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational runbooks
  Required Skills & Qualifications
• 58 years of experience in backend development or software engineering
• Strong programming expertise in Python (mandatory) and working knowledge of Java
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka including producers, consumers, and stream processing
• Strong experience with Redis for caching, pub/sub systems, and performance optimization
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems design
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases at scale
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and containerization tools like Docker
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated deployment practices
• Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Good to Have

• Experience with Apache Flink, Kafka Streams, or Spark Streaming
• Exposure to NLP/ML systems and integration with data science workflows
• Experience building real-time systems using WebSockets
• Prior experience in product-based companies handling large-scale, high-volume data systems
• Understanding of observability tools and monitoring frameworks
