Python + C#

We are looking for a Tooling Engineer with strong Python expertise to develop and maintain internal tools used for configuring and supporting hardware systems in production environments. The role focuses on building reliable, scalable tooling solutions and ensuring smooth integration between software and hardware components.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based tools and plugins
• Integrate tools with hardware systems and APIs
• Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams
• Troubleshoot issues related to tooling and system integration
• Enhance existing tools for performance, usability, and reliability
• Support development of tools using Python and C#
• Document and maintain tooling solutions

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Python focusing on maintainable, scalable and clean code
• Experience developing and maintaining plugins or modular tooling solutions in Python
• Experience interfacing with external or hardware systems through Python APIs
• Experience integrating IOM or TSI interfaces (or similar hardware/software communication layers)
• Basic to intermediate programming experience in C#
• Experience troubleshooting issues across software & hardware interaction layers
• Familiarity with Version Control Systems (GIT)
• Experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM/KANBAN)
• Familiarity with camera systems, detectors or image technologies; microscopy/metrology experience is a plus
• Bachelors or Master’s degree in CSE, IT, ECE or related fields
