Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer Civil to oversee the execution of hospital construction projects from foundation to commissioning. The role involves managing civil works, coordinating with consultants and contractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, timelines, and statutory requirements, while supporting the successful delivery of a world-class healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Execute and supervise all civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
  • Monitor day-to-day site progress and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
  • Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital construction standards, NABH guidelines, NBC, IS Codes, and local statutory regulations.

Site Management

  • Supervise foundation, RCC, structural, masonry, finishing, waterproofing, road works, and external development.
  • Review construction drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
  • Resolve technical issues at site and coordinate with design consultants for necessary approvals.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits.

Contractor Management

  • Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and resource deployment.
  • Review contractor work schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
  • Verify measurements and certify work completion.
  • Participate in contractor meetings and progress review discussions.

Quality Assurance Safety

  • Ensure implementation of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures.
  • Monitor material quality, testing, and inspection activities.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS standards and promote a safe work environment.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC and Safety teams to address non-conformities.

Planning Monitoring

  • Track project progress against approved schedules.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  • Monitor project risks and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Coordinate project reviews and milestone tracking.

Documentation

  • Maintain project documentation, site records, inspection reports, and measurement books.
  • Ensure timely submission of project reports and compliance documentation.
  • Support preparation of project completion reports and handover documentation.

Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise with hospital management, consultants, contractors, government authorities, and utility agencies.
  • Coordinate approvals, inspections, and statutory clearances.

  • Strong knowledge of IS Codes, NBC, CPWD specifications, and construction standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple contractors and consultants simultaneously.
