Role: Program Lead - Women Agency, Mumbai Experience: 8 to 12 years Salary: 22 to 30 LPA
About the role As the Womens Agency Program Lead within the Women Empowerment Portfolio, you will take a leadership role in designing and implementing programs that enhance the agency of women at the household, community, and governance levels.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Program Implementation: Develop and lead the implementation of programs focused on enhancing womens agency within the Women Empowerment Portfolio.
- Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to understand and address the unique challenges faced by women in different contexts.
- Capacity Building: Design and execute workshops and training sessions to build the leadership and advocacy skills of women participants.
- Partnership Management: Establish partnerships with external organizations and experts to bring diverse perspectives and resources to womens agency programs.
- Community Mobilization: Lead the coordination of community-level initiatives to promote womens participation in decision-making processes.
- Policy Advocacy: Advocate for policy changes that support and strengthen womens agency in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring Evaluation: Monitor and evaluate the impact of womens agency programs, gathering insights for continuous improvement.
Knowledge and Competencies:
- Demonstrated positive shifts in womens agency at the household, community, and governance levels.
- Comprehensive understanding and successful addressing of the unique challenges faced by women across different contexts.
- Enhanced leadership and advocacy skills among women participants through effective workshops and training sessions.
- Successful establishment of strategic partnerships with external organizations and subject matter experts.
- Impactful execution of community-level initiatives promoting womens participation in decision-making processes.
- Advocacy efforts leading to policy changes that support and strengthen womens agency.
- Robust monitoring and evaluation systems providing actionable insights for program enhancement.
Educational Qualifications Experience:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Womens Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in designing and implementing programs focused on womens empowerment.
- Track Record: Proven track record of successful leadership in womens agency initiatives.
Functional Competencies:
- Proficiency in leveraging technology and digital tools for advancing womens agency.
- Strong advocacy and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with gender and youth empowerment in a development context is highly desirable (plus).
- Demonstrated passion for advancing gender equality and womens empowerment.
