Product Manager - Motor Insurance

Job Description:

We are looking for a Senior Product Lead Motor Insurance to spearhead the development of a global motor insurance platform product. This role will lead a team of 2–3 Product Managers and own the end-to-end product strategy and execution—from regulatory alignment and product design to go-to-market, operations enablement, and continuous optimization.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in motor insurance, strong product leadership, and execution rigor, with the ability to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives across business, technology, operations, and compliance teams. You will set the product vision, mentor PMs, and ensure scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions across international markets.

Key Objectives/Responsibilities of this Role:

• Own end-to-end product strategy and execution for Motor Insurance from concept to scale
• Design and launch core motor insurance journeys including Quote & underwriting, Policy issuance & endorsements, Claims (FNOL, surveyor flow, approvals, payouts), Renewals, cancellations, and customer servicing
• Translate global regulatory requirements into compliant product workflows
• Define PRDs, workflows, control points, SLAs, and TAT benchmarks for all motor insurance processes
• Drive zero-to-one execution: MVP definition, phased rollout, experimentation, and iteration
• Partner with engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and auditable systems.
• Continuously optimize product based on data, customer feedback, and operational learnings

Mandatory Skillset & Experience:

• 3-5 years of Product Management experience, mandatorily in Motor Insurance Business
• Strong hands-on experience with Motor Insurance (OD, TP, claims, surveyor processes)
• Proven experience building zero-to-one products (new business lines, new platforms, or greenfield products)
• Ability to write clear PRDs, process flows, and decision frameworks
• Strong understanding of insurance operations, underwriting logic, and claims lifecycle
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (Tech, Ops, Legal, Compliance, Sales)
• Data-driven mindset with comfort using metrics to drive product decisions

Preferred Qualification:

• MBA or Equivalent management degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field

Preferred Certifications:

• Product Management certifications (Pragmatic, Scrum Product Owner, CSPO, etc.)
• Any regulatory or compliance training related to insurance is an added advantage
