Procurement Senior Para-Professional

Main Accountabilities - Responsibilities, Tasks & Interactions:
Strategic Sourcing: Developing and executing procurement strategies that align with company goals.
Negotiation: Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
Vendor Management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakehold-ers.
Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels to optimize stock turnover and reduce holding costs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, such as Operations, Finance, and Production, to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with business goals
Evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
Reviewing and processing requisitions and purchase orders.
Preparing reports and updates as needed.

Requirements - Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
A bachelors degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Certifications such as Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) are highly desirable.
Proven experience of 5+ years in a procurement role, with at least 2+ years in a senior position
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba).
Analytical skills for cost analysis, forecasting, and supplier evaluation.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Senior Buyer typically works in an office environment but may be required to travel occasionally to meet with suppliers or attend industry events.
