Job Description
We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to lead the sourcing of fleet, automotive, and material-handling equipment for operations in Angola. The role is responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory planning, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of automotive parts and workshop consumables to support business operations.
Location: Mumbai (Supporting Operations in Angola)

Qualification: Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Automobile, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.

- Manage procurement of automotive spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, workshop consumables, and material-handling equipment.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to improve cost, quality, and supplier performance.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers for pricing, delivery, warranty, and commercial terms.
- Handle RFQs, supplier comparisons, purchase orders, and contract negotiations.
- Coordinate with fleet maintenance, workshops, stores, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Monitor spare parts consumption and maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Develop approved supplier lists and standardize parts wherever possible.
- Resolve supplier quality issues, warranty claims, and supply shortages.
- Support procurement of fleet vehicles, trailers, forklifts, workshop equipment, and other capital purchases.
- Maintain procurement records, MIS reports, and ERP data while driving continuous cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong experience in automotive parts procurement and fleet sourcing.
- Excellent supplier management and commercial negotiation skills.
- Good understanding of inventory planning and spare parts management.
- Experience with commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, or material-handling equipment.
- Working knowledge of SAP or any ERP system.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- 8 12 years of experience in automotive parts procurement, fleet maintenance, dealership parts, workshop supplies, or heavy equipment sourcing.
- Exposure to export procurement or supporting African operations, particularly Angola, will be an added advantage.
