Process Associate - Record To Report

Role Purpose

We are seeking Record-to-Report (R2R) professionals to join our Finance Shared Services team. The incumbent will support General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting processes in a centralized, SLA-driven environment.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail, process discipline, and the ability to work effectively within a high-volume shared services setup.

Location: Bangur Business Excellence Centre (BBEC)

Key Responsibilities

1. General Ledger Accounting

• Perform General Ledger accounting activities and maintain accounting records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Process journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and adjustments accurately and within defined timelines.
• Support chart of accounts maintenance and accounting master data updates.

2. Account Reconciliations

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and subsidiary ledgers.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items and accounting discrepancies on a timely basis.

3. Period-End Close Activities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Ensure timely completion of close activities in accordance with published close calendars.
• Prepare and review schedules required for financial reporting and management reporting.

4. Financial Reporting Support

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, schedules, and variance analyses.
• Support reporting requirements for management, corporate teams, and auditors.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of financial data.

5. Compliance & Controls

• Adhere to internal control requirements, accounting policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to finance operations.

6. Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation.
• Participate in transformation initiatives involving ERP systems, workflow tools, RPA, and digital technologies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the R2R function.

7. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal finance teams, business stakeholders, and other Shared Services functions.
• Support timely response and resolution of accounting queries and exceptions.

Candidate Profile

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com preferred)
• CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA (Finance), or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
• Qualified CA/CMA may also apply.

Experience

• 4-7 years of relevant experience (2-3 years for CA/CMA) in Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger Accounting, or Financial Reporting.
• Experience in a Shared Services Centre (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or high-volume finance operations environment preferred.
• Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliation processes is essential.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with SAP FICO (mandatory).
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups, Data Analysis) and MS Powerpoint.
• Exposure to platforms such as Power BI, Vistex, Hyperion or similar financial systems will be an advantage.
