About The Role:

As Principal Software Engineer, you'll provide technical leadership and hands-on contribution to our Authorization Decisioning platforma high-performance, globally scalable system processing 1B+ transactions daily. You'll design complex enterprise solutions, mentor engineering teams, and drive innovation across the fintech ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build high-performance, scalable payment infrastructure
• Architect data-intensive, mission-critical financial systems
• Collaborate with product, architects, and engineers to deliver enterprise-wide solutions
• Drive technical decisions and own implementation through production
• Mentor engineering teams and set technical direction for platform evolution
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, and regulatory standards
• Lead incident response and continuous platform optimization

What We're Looking For:

• 10+ years designing and building high-transaction-volume, globally scalable platforms
• Deep fintech/payments industry experience with regulatory compliance knowledge
• Expert-level proficiency in: Java, REST APIs, Microservices, Kafka, Spring Framework
• Cloud platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
• Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, ElasticSearch
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Maven, Sonar
• Strong grasp of event-driven architecture, APIs, and messaging systems
• Proven ability to balance hands-on development with strategic technical leadership
• BS in Computer Science or related STEM field (MS preferred, especially in fintech)
