Principal Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description RESPONSIBILITES

• Define and lead cybersecurity architecture and technical strategy across product, OT, cloud, and network environments.
• Serve as the technical authority for OT and product cybersecurity, guiding secure design and engineering decisions.
• Drive security requirements into product development and deployment processes, ensuring secure-by-design practices.
• Lead vulnerability management strategy, risk assessments, and remediation prioritization for Fluence OS.
• Design and oversee secure network segmentation, access control, and monitoring approaches for OT environments.
• Translate cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443, NIST, NERC CIP, etc.) into practical engineering implementations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cybersecurity and engineering teams.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align cybersecurity priorities with product and business goals.
• Evaluate and introduce new security technologies, automation, and practices to improve overall security posture.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, with significant experience in product or OT/industrial cybersecurity environments.
• Proven experience designing and leading cybersecurity architecture or large-scale security initiatives.
• Strong expertise in network security, OT security, cloud security, and secure infrastructure design.
• Experience securing industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments.
• Deep understanding of vulnerability management, threat modeling, and risk-based security practices.
• Hands-on experience with Linux-based systems and security tooling in complex production environments.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST, CIS, or NERC CIP.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and influence engineering decisions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and risks to engineering leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
