Principal Architect

Responsibilities:

Technology Architecture and Stack

• Define and implement the companys technical vision and roadmap in collaboration with

the founding team.

• Design scalable, robust, and secure systems to support rapid growth and innovation.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms to meet business needs.

Hands-On Engineering (60%)

• Contribute production-quality code across the stack - back-end, front-end, and data layers.
• Lead by example in adopting AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate team velocity and

code quality.

• Own critical technical deliverables end-to-end, from design through deployment and

monitoring.

• Drive integration of AI capabilities into the product, spanning both agentic workflows (agent

orchestration, RAG pipelines, tool-use patterns) and applied AI models (OCR, classification).

Team Building & Leadership (40%)

• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration,

creativity, and excellence.

• Promote an agile and iterative development process, balancing speed with quality.
• Provide technical guidance and career development opportunities for team members.

Product Development

• Partner with product, design, and business stakeholders to translate ideas into technical

solutions.

• Drive the end-to-end development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and maintenance.
• Ensure timely delivery of features and maintain a high-quality codebase.

Operational Excellence

• Implement best practices for coding, testing, deployment, and system monitoring.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of systems and processes.
• Manage technical debt and balance short-term deliverables with long-term sustainability.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Act as a thought partner to the senior leaders, contributing to overall company strategy and

decision-making.

• Represent the engineering perspective in cross-functional discussions and ensure alignment

with business objectives

• Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical

stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education

• 15+ years of hands-on B2B SaaS software development experience, with at least 5+ years in a

leadership or management role.

• Startup experience is highly desirable.
• Deep experience with all forms of agile development processes
• Engineering degree is preferred since this is an engineering-focused product
• Has experience working directly with senior leadership and knowing when and how to

manage expectations with scope, schedule, cost

Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of modern programming languages, frameworks, and cloud

technologies especially Azure.

• Hands-on experience with architecture and full-stack development is a requirement.
• Hands-on proficiency in .NET (back-end microservices), SQL databases, and Python or

appropriate equivalents — is required.

• Hands-on proficiency in Angular (or equivalent modern front-end framework) is required.
• Agentic AI Integrations: Experience building Agentic AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry APIs —

including agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, function/tool calling, and multi-agent patterns.

• AI-Assisted Coding Expertise: Demonstrated daily use of AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub

Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex to accelerate development velocity and improve code

quality.

Project Management Skills

• Proven track record of running software engineering projects for leading B2B SaaS products

that are utilized by Fortune 500 companies

• Works closely with the development team members to understand and minimize technical

debt without sacrificing velocity
