About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior BI Engineer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, and data modeling, with the ability to build scalable semantic models, optimize report performance, and mentor junior BI developers. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and solution architects to deliver high-quality analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Develop robust Power BI semantic models to support self-service analytics.
- Write advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables for complex business requirements.
- Design optimized dimensional data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
- Optimize report performance by improving DAX calculations, data models, and query execution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
- Develop reusable datasets, shared semantic models, and reporting standards.
- Ensure data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI performance and data-related issues.
- Mentor junior BI developers and promote best practices across the team.
- Work closely with Data Engineers and Solution Architects to design end-to-end analytics solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and support production deployments.
