Power Bi Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions that support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Power BI, DAX, SQL, Data Modeling, and dashboard development, with the ability to transform complex business requirements into insightful visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models using star and snowflake schemas.
• Create complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using Power Query.
• Connect Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, Azure, SAP, and Oracle.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
• Monitor and optimize report performance.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and data engineers.
• Troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
• Maintain documentation and support report deployments.

Required Skills

• 1-7 years of experience in BI Reporting and Power BI development.
• Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Hands-on experience with DAX, Power Query, and Data Modeling.
• Strong SQL skills including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Understanding of ETL processes and Data Warehousing concepts.
• Experience creating dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and analytical reports.
• Knowledge of Power BI Gateway, Workspaces, and Deployment Pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Knowledge of Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Familiarity with Python or R for analytics.
• Microsoft Power BI Certification is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications are preferred.
