Power Apps Developer
Purpose of role
The Power Apps Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable business applications using Microsoft Power Platform. The role involves building Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps, developing automated workflows using Power Automate, and integrating enterprise systems such as SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, and REST APIs.
The role also focuses on delivering mobile-responsive applications optimized for iOS and Android devices while ensuring performance, security, and scalability. The developer will contribute to solution design, application lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of development and deployment practices using Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power Apps solutions using Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps
- Build and manage automated workflows using Power Automate
- Develop mobile-responsive applications optimized for iOS and Android devices
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, REST APIs, and external systems
- Design and manage scalable data models using Dataverse
- Implement business logic using Power Fx and JavaScript where required
- Develop and maintain role-based access control and security within applications
- Optimize application performance for large datasets and enterprise-scale usage
- Support Power BI integration for dashboards and reporting
- Work with Power Pages for external-facing portals where applicable
- Participate in requirement gathering and convert business needs into technical solutions
- Support end-to-end application lifecycle management (Dev, Test, UAT, Production)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using Azure DevOps
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development and production environments
- Ensure governance, compliance, and naming standards across Power Platform solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and user-friendly applications
- Continuously improve automation, performance, and development efficiency
- Explore and apply AI capabilities such as Copilot and AI Builder in solutions
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- Hands-on experience with Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps development
- Experience integrating SharePoint, SQL Server, REST APIs, and custom connectors
- Strong understanding of Dataverse data modeling and relational data concepts
- Experience in workflow automation using Power Automate
- Strong knowledge of Power Fx and basic JavaScript usage in Power Platform
- Experience in mobile-first and responsive application design is Mandatory.
- Experience in Power BI integration for reporting and dashboards
- Exposure to Power Pages for portal development (nice to have)
- Understanding of Azure services such as Azure Functions and Logic Apps (nice to have)
- Experience with ALM practices and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of performance optimization and enterprise application deployment
- Familiarity with AI Builder and Copilot in Power Platform (nice to have)

Experience & Background:
- 4+ years of experience in Power Platform development or similar roles
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- Microsoft Power Platform or Azure certifications (preferred but not mandatory)
