Job Description
Position Overview:
The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations of the Cell and
Module Manufacturing facility. This role involves managing production, quality, safety,
supply chain, engineering, and workforce management to ensure the plant meets business
objectives in terms of efficiency, cost, quality, and delivery. The incumbent will play a key
role in driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and capacity expansion
initiatives to support the company s growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Lead and manage overall plant operations for Cell and Module manufacturing,
ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Develop production strategies to meet demand forecasts, optimize capacity utilization,
and minimize downtime.
Drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and yield enhancement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental norms, and statutory
regulations.
Production & Process Management
Oversee daily operations across cell line and module assembly processes.
Implement robust systems for process control, defect reduction, and cycle-time
improvement.
Introduce automation and digital manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency.
Ensure smooth integration of technology upgrades, new product introductions, and
capacity expansion projects.
Quality & Safety
Establish stringent quality systems to meet international benchmarks (IEC, UL, BIS,
etc.).
Drive Six Sigma, Lean, and TQM initiatives for continuous improvement.
Build a culture of zero accidents by enforcing EHS standards and practices.
People Management
Lead, motivate, and develop cross-functional teams across production, maintenance,
quality, and engineering.
Drive skill development programs to build strong technical and managerial
capabilities in the workforce.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Business & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate with supply chain, R&D, and commercial teams to ensure on-time
delivery of products.
Manage vendor relationships for critical equipment, raw materials, and consumables.
Report KPIs, operational metrics, and progress updates to senior management.
