Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Generation:
- Assist customers in selecting pearl jewellery based on their preferences, occasions, and budget.
- Actively promote pearl collections, new designs, and customized pearl jewellery to achieve sales targets.
- Explain pearl quality factors such as type, luster, size, surface quality, shape, and origin.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat purchases.
- Address customer queries and resolve concerns related to pearl jewellery purchases.
- Follow up with customers after purchase to ensure satisfaction and build long-term loyalty.
3. Store Operations:
- Maintain a clean, well-organized, and attractive pearl display section.
- Ensure accurate billing and proper documentation for all transactions.
- Assist with inventory management, stock handling, replenishment, and display of pearl jewellery.
4. Product & Market Knowledge:
- Stay updated on pearl types (Akoya, Freshwater, South Sea, Tahitian, etc.), trends, and designs.
- Educate customers on pearl care, storage, restringing, and repair services.
- Monitor competitor offerings and market trends to remain competitive.
5. Promotions and Marketing:
- Participate actively in exhibitions, store events, sales campaigns, and customer outreach programs.
- Collect customer feedback and suggest improvements in pearl collections and marketing strategies.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Store Manager and team members to achieve sales and service targets.
- Share customer insights, market feedback, and sales ideas to support product planning and promotions.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum High School Diploma; a degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience: Prior retail sales experience preferred; experience in pearl or jewellery sales is an added advantage.
- Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to confidently explain pearl quality and designs.
- Sales Skills: Ability to meet sales targets and perform well in a customer-facing retail environment.
- Customer Service: Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Good understanding of pearl grading, jewellery presentation, and handling.
