Objective
To assist before and during the surgery, maintenance of equipments and OT in an appropriate manner.
Key Responsibilities
1 Maintenance/ Assistance
- Helping/assisting the anaesthetic during the induction
- Assisting doctor in operations.
- Performing activities in line with Shalby s guidelines.
- Preparing medicines before and during operation under the observation of anesthetic
- Cleanse and disinfect surgical instruments or equipments after surgeries
- Maintaining all surgical tools in a sterile, functional and orderly manner
- To participate in on-call duties to provide the Hospital with 24 hour cover.
- To maintain safe and acceptable standards of practice in accordance with Health Safety.
- To report mishaps, accidents and complaints to the authority in accordance with Hospital policy.
- To participate as a scrub / circulating member of the Theatre team during surgical procedures and carry out the necessary safety checks as laid down.
- To attend in-service training programmes.
- To actively participate in NABH and all future accreditations documentations.
2 Other Function
- Physical verification of stocks on a monthly basis and submitting the report with details of discrepancies
