OT Store Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Monitor and track surgical supplies, track stock usage, and rotate items to avoid expiration. [1]
• Procurement Support: Coordinate with suppliers and the purchasing department to reorder needed items, and verify deliveries against invoices. [1]
• Sterilization & Preparation: Organize storage in sterile and safe conditions, label appropriately, and assist in preparing surgical trays and instruments. [1, 2]
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate manual and electronic records of all incoming and outgoing OT materials. [1]
• Compliance: Follow all hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and biomedical waste management standards. [1, 2]

Common Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Degree, Diploma, or certification in Hospital Administration, Supply Chain Management, or as an OT Technician/Paramedic is typically preferred. [1]
• Experience: Usually 0 to 3 years in a hospital or healthcare setting. [1]
• Skills Needed: Familiarity with inventory procedures, attention to detail, strong communication, and basic computer/software proficiency for tracking stock. [1, 2, 3]
