• Assessment: They assess patients' physical and psychological needs, functional abilities, and limitations to determine appropriate rehabilitation goals and interventions
• Patient Care: OT nurses provide hands-on care to patients, assisting them with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility exercises
• Mobility and Exercise: They work with patients to help them regain mobility and strength through therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to their individual needs
• Adaptive Techniques: OT nurses teach patients adaptive techniques and strategies to enhance their independence and help them perform tasks more effectively
• Medication Management: They administer medications, monitor patients' responses to treatments, and ensure proper pain management as part of the rehabilitation process
• Education: OT nurses educate patients and their families about the importance of following the rehabilitation plan, provide information on proper body mechanics and techniques, and offer guidance on preventing further injuries
