Role & responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle Database environments.
- Manage Oracle databases in development, testing, and production environments.
- Perform database monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Configure and manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and ASM environments.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
- Perform database migrations, patching, and upgrades.
- Monitor database health and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Manage user access, roles, privileges, and database security compliance.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide production support.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- Automate routine DBA activities using Shell Scripting and PL/SQL.
- Work closely with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Create and maintain database documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
