Job Description
Experience: 10+ Years (Minimum 3+ years in Banking/FinTech)
Education: BE/BTech/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Role Objective
We are looking for an elite Oracle Database expert to lead performance engineering and operational stability for our core banking and payment systems. This is a high-visibility role involving crisis management, C-suite communication, and the management of multi-terabyte, high-TPS OLTP environments.
Top 3 Technical Pillars
Performance Engineering (Expert Level): Advanced tuning using AWR/ASH, SQL Trace, and Real-Time ADDM. You must be able to diagnose systemic I/O bottlenecks, latch contention, and CPU saturation in high-throughput environments.
High Availability DR: Architecture and management of Oracle RAC, Data Guard/Active Data Guard, and RMAN. Responsibility for RPO/RTO alignment with banking regulations.
Advanced Oracle Stack: Hands-on expertise in Exadata (Smart Scan, HCC), GoldenGate replication, and Oracle 19c/21c architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Crisis Leadership: Lead resolution for Sev1/Sev2 incidents; deliver executive-ready Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for stakeholders and regulatory auditors.
Banking Compliance: Ensure database hardening (TDE, Data Masking, Database Vault) aligns with RBI/Central Bank guidelines.
Automation: Standardize patching and upgrades using Python, Ansible, or Shell to improve MTTD/MTTR.
Capacity Planning: Establish performance baselines for mission-critical apps like UPI, Treasury, and Core Banking.
Required Technical Skill Set
Core: Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, Partitioning, RMAN.
Performance: SQL Plan Management (SPM), Real Application Testing (RAT), Resource Manager.
Infrastructure: Linux diagnostics (vmstat, iostat, sar), Exadata, and Network latency analysis.
Data Movement: GoldenGate, Edition-Based Redefinition (EBR), and Migration strategies.
