Job Description
- Lead Oracle database architecture design and capacity planning initiatives.
- Own High Availability (RAC, Data Guard) and Disaster Recovery strategy.
- Define and enforce database standards, governance, and best practices.
- Provide technical direction for database upgrades, migrations, and patching.
- Lead complex performance tuning and troubleshooting efforts.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and ensure preventive controls.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across Production, UAT, and Development environments.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations (Oracle 12c/19c/21c).
- Manage and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery setups (Data Guard, RAC).
- Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
- Monitor database performance and proactively tune SQL queries, indexes, and storage.
- Troubleshoot production database issues and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support release deployments and CI/CD-related database activities.
- Implement database security controls, user management, encryption, and auditing.
- Perform capacity planning and storage growth forecasting.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and SRE teams for performance optimization.
