Oracle Database Administrator

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have**

• Experience in Oracle DBA.
• Database Versions: Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, or later versions.
• Production Support, EXADATA administration and Monitoring
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)• Performance Tuning: Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization, index management, and database performance tuning techniques.
• DB2 database management and troubleshooting performance issues and enable monitoring mentrics
• Goldengate source and target configuration and enable dataflow rules
• Goldengate source and target monitoring and troubleshooting
• Backup & Recovery: Expertise with Oracle RMAN, Data Pump, and other backup tools, including performing database recovery.• HA/DR Solutions: Experience in configuring and managing Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC, and Oracle GoldenGate.
• Scripting: Proficiency in PL/SQL, Unix/Linux shell scripting, or other automation scripting languages.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root cause analysis.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Certifications (Preferred): Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Database Administrator Certified Associate (OCA).

Good-to-Have

• Good to have knowledge on other database like MongoDB , Cassandra Knowledge on Linux systems
• Shell and Python scripting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Scripting / Automation of recurring Database tasks.

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Production support Oracle , Exadata and DB2 Database

2 Work on Incidents, Changes, Work orders, service requests, Problem tickets, RCA,

3 On-call support during the non-business hours

5 Good to have knowledge on other database like MongoDB , Cassandra
