Role & responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle RAC databases in high-availability environments
Perform database patching, upgrades, and apply PSU/CPU patches across RAC systems
Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning using RMAN and Data Guard
Administer and support databases hosted on AWS services such as EC2 and RDS
Monitor and optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex issues
Implement database security, manage users, roles, and privileges
Perform routine health checks, maintenance, and capacity planning
Ensure high availability and reliability of database systems across infrastructure
Perform performance tuning and resolve production issues effectively
Work with monitoring tools and scripting (Shell scripting, etc.)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Additional Skills (Nice to Have)

MySQL:

Hands-on experience in MySQL replication setup (Master-Slave)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve replication issues including binlog failures

MSSQL:

Experience in taking full and compressed database backups
Ability to handle and resolve disk space issues such as tempdb and transaction log full scenarios

PostgreSQL:

Experience in PostgreSQL role and user management, including creation of group roles and user assignment
Understanding of role-based access control and differences between ROLE and USER
