Job Description
- Work closely with clients to understand their database requirements and objectives.
- Design, implement, and support Oracle database solutions tailored to meet client needs.
- Perform routine database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database software.
- Ensure the security and integrity of client databases by implementing access controls and regular audits.
- Monitor and optimize client database performance, addressing bottlenecks and ensuring optimal query execution.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and enhance overall system performance.
- Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies for client projects.
- Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
- Stay informed about Oracle database releases, patches, and upgrades relevant to client environments.
- Plan and execute database software upgrades and apply patches as needed.
- Implement and manage database security policies for clients, including user access controls and encryption.
- Conduct regular security assessments for client databases to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Provide client-focused support for database-related issues during and after project implementation.
- Diagnose and resolve database-related incidents promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of client database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Update and improve documentation as necessary for each client engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client stakeholders, developers, system administrators, and network engineers.
- Participate in project planning and implementation activities involving database changes.
