The Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) team is known for delivering operational excellence at scale through both tech enablement and a large pool of agents that are specialized in incubating new products and processes. Description-The Ops Analytics workstream caters to Business Operations teams across the globe in both the Mobility Delivery space.We enable decision making through our analytical solutions which come in the form of reporting/data visualization, carrying out RCAs/deep-dives, building automations process optimisations and performing statistical analysis. Our data deliverables allow teams to take critical decisions build business strategies that directly impact the on ground operations and processes. Hence, it s imperative that we deliver high quality of output by placing data checkpoints triggers, given the direct impact of our work to business operations.

Team Size

Total Billable: 10 (by end of 2023). Could scale to 50 by end of 2024.
Ratio of various roles: Analyst 2 60% (1-2 yrs exp), Analyst 3 40% (2+ yrs exp)

About the team

This role is a part of the GSS Data Analytics Services team who partners with various stakeholders across Uber to provide Data as a service and meet all their analytical needs. We deliver quality data solutions by leveraging a powerful combination of our program managers and an analyst talent pool to deliver solutions at scale with high ROI.

About the role

At Uber, the Business Analysts will have to help drive analysis behind decisions related to operations, process and optimisations. They will have to create, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting models to assist regional, and global operations. The role largely requires developing analytical frameworks to support the company in new markets and products. They need to be a big-picture thinker and strategic partner. They also need to demonstrate analytical thinking through data-driven decisions and possess the technical know-how, fascination and ability to work with your team to make a big impact.

Basic Qualifications

1-2 yrs of experience for Analyst 2 and 2+ years of experience for Analyst 3. Experience in Analytics/ Business Intelligence/ Statistical analysis or related experience is mandatory
Analyst 3 should have enhanced project mgmt), advanced skills in - automation, stats, experimentation, data modelling - and an ability to lead mentor junior analysts.
Exceptional Analytical, problem-solving, Excel and data management skills; SQL Proficiency
Experience in building interactive dashboards on GSheets, Google Data Studio or Tableau that help visualize process performance
Intermediate Python skills, experience in data extraction wrangling (numpy, pandas, plotly)
Strong communication and organization skills, with the ability to synthesize a lot of information quickly, highlight the key takeaways, and disseminate actionable insights
Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment
Ability to self-serve, investigate, get the required data and expertise in data visualization/presentation

Preferred qualifications

Statistics Data science - Should be conversant with basic Statistical Analysis (Regression, Classification etc) , A/B testing Experimentation
