Operations Engineer

Job Summary

As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and/or manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreement. A typical day involves overseeing the smooth functioning of these systems and services, ensuring they meet operational requirements and service agreements. This role requires continuous monitoring, managing system performance, and addressing any issues that arise to maintain service reliability. Collaboration with various teams to coordinate delivery and support activities is essential, along with proactive identification of potential risks and implementation of preventive measures to uphold system stability and efficiency throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Monitor production systems to ensure consistent performance and availability.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage system updates and deployments.
• Document operational procedures and maintain accurate records of system activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving incidents to minimize downtime.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Linux.
• Experience with shell scripting and automation to streamline operational tasks.
• Knowledge of system monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques.
• Familiarity with network protocols and security best practices in Linux environments.
• Ability to analyze logs and diagnose system issues effectively.
• Understanding of backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity.
• Good to have skills: None specified.

Experience & Education

• Minimum 2 years of experience is required, specifically in Linux.
• Educational Qualification: 15 years full-time education.
