About the Role

As an Operations Engineer, you will support the operations and manage delivery for production systems and services based on operational requirements and service agreements. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to enhance system performance. You will engage in monitoring system health, analyzing performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements, all while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own administration, configuration, and ongoing support of Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC) in a 24x7 production environment.
  • Design, implement, and optimize complex workflows, tasks, triggers, calendars, and variables to meet SLA and throughput requirements.
  • Manage enterprise-scale batch workloads, including dynamic and dependent workflows.
  • Lead onboarding, enhancement, and decommissioning of batch jobs in coordination with application and release management teams.
  • Monitor execution, analyze failures and performance trends, and drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Configure alerts, notifications, and integrations with monitoring, ticketing, and reporting systems.
  • Produce operational and SLA reports using UAC logs, task instance data, and historical execution metrics.
  • Support audit and compliance activities (SOX/PCI), including documentation of scheduling activity, execution history, and change records.
  • Participate in DR planning and testing, ensuring workflow recoverability and scheduling resiliency.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for Priority 1 incidents and major incident calls.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to onshore/offshore operations teams.
  • Maintain standards, runbooks, and automation best practices aligned with ITIL processes.

Requirements

Professional & Technical Skills

  • 3-4 years of experience in enterprise workload automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Stonebranch UAC.
  • Proven experience designing and supporting large, complex batch workflows in production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, infrastructure, and automation layers.
  • Experience with workload automation tools such as Control-M, IBM Workload Automation, ActiveBatch, RunMyJobs, will be additional etc.
  • Exposure to BMC Helix integration is highly desirable.
  • Experience in 24x7 operations, on-call rotations, and major incident management.
  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Relevant technical or ITIL certifications preferred.

Additional Information

  • The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Stonebranch Universal Automation Center (UAC).
  • This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
  • A 15 years full time education is required.
