• Environment Planning: Collaborate with project managers, test managers, and development teams to plan and define the necessary test environments for various testing phases.
• Environment Setup: Set up, configure, and maintain test environments to mirror the production environment as closely as possible, including hardware, software, databases, and network configurations.
• Environment Provisioning: Manage the allocation of test environments to different teams or projects, ensuring that resources are available as needed.
• Data Management: Oversee test data management, ensuring that test data is properly prepared, anonymized, and available for testing.
• Environment Monitoring: Continuously monitor the availability, performance, and stability of test environments, identifying and resolving issues as they arise.
• Environment Documentation: Maintain documentation of test environment configurations, including hardware and software details, configurations, and procedures for setup and tear-down.
• Environment Version Control: Implement and manage version control for environment configurations to support multiple testing cycles.
• Security and Access Control: Implement security measures to protect test environments and control access to sensitive data and systems.
• Coordination: Coordinate with development, testing, and release management teams to ensure that environments are available for various testing phases and that testing activities do not disrupt development work.
• Disaster Recovery: Plan and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies for test environments.
