About the Role

N.V. Goudkust, a leading name in the gold mining industry, is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Exploration Geologist to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mineral exploration, geological mapping, and field data analysis, with a passion for discovering new mineral resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geological mapping, soil and rock sampling, and trenching programs
  
• Design, implement, and oversee drilling programs (RC and Diamond)
  
• Log drill core and chips with emphasis on lithology, structure, alteration, and mineralization
  
• Maintain accurate geological records, databases, and logs
  
• Ensure proper sample handling, chain of custody, and QA/QC protocols
  
• Use geological software (GIS, AutoCAD, modeling tools) for data interpretation and reporting
  
• Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, and technical reports
  
• Collaborate with geophysicists, assay labs, and field teams to support exploration goals
  
• Follow and promote health, safety, and environmental standards during fieldwork
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Geology / Earth Sciences or related field
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mineral exploration or a mining role
  
• Age: 25 35 years
  
• Proactive, task- and result-oriented
  
• Ability to work independently and within a team
  
• Flexible and willing to work in field conditions and travel as needed
