Role : Data Lead

Job Purpose :

We are seeking a Data Lead to serve as the "Product Manager" for our data.

Your goal is not just to build databases, but to ensure that our data infrastructure provides accurate, timely, and actionable answers to business questions.

You will bridge the gap between technical execution and business strategy, owning the 1-year roadmap and ensuring that our lean team of 4 (Data Engineer, Senior Analyst, BI Developer, and Insight Analyst) delivers high-quality outputs.

You are the final authority on the "Source of Truth" at Nutrabay.

You should apply if you have :

- Pragmatic Technical Oversight : You understand how a modern data stack (AWS, Redshift, dbt) works well enough to review code and spot logic errors, even if you aren't the one writing the ETL scripts daily.

- KPI Definition Mastery : You can take a vague request like "we need better attribution" and turn it into a mathematically precise formula in a Data Dictionary.

- Sprint Management : You are comfortable managing a small, high-output team using Jira or similar tools to prioritize business "firefighting" vs. long-term infrastructure building.

You should not apply if you :

- Are looking for a purely hands-off managerial role; we need someone who can audit a SQL query or a dbt model when the numbers don't match.

- Lack experience in a high-volume D2C or E-commerce environment.

- Cannot navigate the politics of aligning different department heads on a single definition of "Success.

What will you do? (Day-to-Day Tasks) :

- Weekly Sprint Prioritization : Every Monday, you will review the backlog of requests from Marketing, Finance, and Ops, deciding what gets built now and what waits, ensuring the team isn't overwhelmed.

- Logic Auditing : You will perform "Peer Reviews" on dbt models and SQL views created by the team.
You ensure that if the Data Dictionary says "Exclude Returns," the code actually does it.

- Stakeholder Syncs : You will spend significant time with department heads (e.g, Marketing or Warehouse Ops) to understand their changing requirements and explain the data roadmap.

- Pipeline Sanity Checks : Every morning, you will check the "Health Monitor" (Glue/Redshift status) to ensure 10 : 00 AM reports are fresh and accurate before the CEO sees them.

- Documentation Maintenance : You will personally own the Data Dictionary, ensuring it is updated in real-time as business rules evolve (e.g, changing how "Adjusted GMV" is calculated).

- Cost & Tooling Oversight : You will monitor our AWS and Power BI usage to ensure we remain within budget and avoid the need for expensive Premium upgrades through smart choices.

Skills Required :

Technical Skills :

- Analytics Systems Oversight : Strong understanding of the "ELT" flow. You must know how RDS, Glue, Redshift, and dbt interact.

- SQL Proficiency : You must be able to write and read complex SQL to validate the work of the Analytics Engineer.

- BI Platform Management : Experience managing Power BI workspaces, permissions, and dataset performance.

- Project Management Tools : Proficiency in Jira, Linear, or Trello to manage team velocity.

Business & Soft Skills :

- Business Translation : The ability to explain a "Redshift join issue" to a Marketing Manager in terms of "Report Delay.

- Intellectual Honesty : The courage to tell management when a request is not technically feasible or when the data is too "messy" to be trusted.

- Systems Thinking : Ability to see how a change in the Vinculum (WMS) workflow will impact the final P&L dashboard.

Work Experience : 5-8 years.

Working days : Monday Friday.
